Tell us about yourself and how you made your way to PairTree?
We are the Harris family, we have been on the adoption journey for almost a year now. Someone recommended PairTree to us early on and we finally decided to pursue it!!
What has surprised you about this process – good and/or bad?
The most surprising thing for us is how many scammers try and take away the joy of the journey. It breaks my heart to know that people seek out individuals at such a vulnerable time in their lives, to hurt them.
What do you think is misunderstood about adoption?
I think there are many things about adoption that are misunderstood, mainly due to lack of knowledge.
Who are your biggest supporters? Who can you always turn to?
Our family is our biggest supporter system they have been here for us every step of the way. Our friends have also been great throughout our journey thus far, they are just as excited as we are to have a baby around!!
Do you have a favorite quote or mantra?
“Before you were born I set you apart.” Jeremiah 1:5
How often do you cry? (Seriously…)
I cry at least once a week. My heart just longs to be a momma so bad that it hurts. This journey is hard, but it will be worth it all!!
What you are most proud of – so far – in this process?
I am most proud of how we have stuck together through the good times and the hard times!
What scares you the most about this process — and why?
The scariest part for us is the unknown.
